OUR TUTORS

Training

We employ certified educators, experienced tutors holding degrees in a variety of subjects, and senior students aimed to graduate from educational programs and become professional teachers. Our instructors are trained to tutor children of all ages.

Availability

Our tutors are available to any level student to assist in the mastery of many subjects.

Working Together

Our tutors will work together with students' parents and teachers in order to help students reach personal educational goals.

Arrangement

Georgia Tutoring instructors travel throughout the Metro Atlanta area. Most of them hold multiple jobs and/or are enrolled in graduate and PhD programs. Our tutors will schedule an appointment for the time that will be convenient for both a student and a tutor.

All of our tutors are friendly, experienced, and committed to helping their students make real academic progress. Our tutors target the students' particular area of academic need based on:

feedback from parents or guardians,
the students' grade reports,
exchange of information between tutors and teachers.

Our tutors focus on building comprehension and skills that will lead to success in school, modeling positive behavior, and improvement of a child's self-esteem. Our tutors provide expertise, experience, and encouragement. They build a relationship and trust; challenge students to focus on assignments within the context they are assigned. The tutors do not provide "answers," but rather assist in problem solving in getting answers.

Our tutors should not be expected to diagnose learning disabilities. Georgia Tutoring encourages parents/guardians to test students for learning disabilities by a professional academic counselor.
